Affiliate disclosure

Fireplace Compare contains affiliate links. This page explains how they work and how we keep our scores independent.

How we earn money

Our Amazon.com links carry an affiliate code. When you buy through one of them, Amazon pays us a commission. You pay the same price. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Links to the makers' own stores currently carry no tracking code, so we earn nothing from those. We disclose this in line with the FTC's Endorsement Guides.

Every affiliate link carries rel="nofollow sponsored", as Google asks.

Does commission change our picks?

No. We score every fireplace from the maker's specs and buyer reviews with fixed rules (see How we score), whether or not a retailer pays us for it.

Our promises

• No paid rankings. No maker can buy a better place.
• Real downsides. We name the weak points, even on models that pay a higher commission.
• Dated pages. Every guide shows when we last updated it.
• No lab tests. We do not put the fireplaces up ourselves and we never claim to.
• Corrections welcome. Found a mistake? Tell us through the contact form.
